The best suited TIG welding electrodes for AC is always something up for discussion. As it happens – the white tippped tungsten electrodes are very well regarded for AC work. No doubt that is why you are looking at this page now. The 1.0mm rods are one of the thinnest available and intended for very fine aluminium work and as such you should not expect a high amperage capacity. Noz-Alls
If you start to consume your rod much more quickly than you would like to then aside from adjusting your settings the only other option will be to upgrade to a 1.2mm electrode.
